Jim Field has a Master’s degree in engineering, a law degree, and more than 40 years of business experience. He has started, grown, and turned around small businesses in the U.S. and overseas. Jim has managed companies in both up and down markets, including an overseas consulting start-up, where he and his team overcame 70% inflation and rigid currency exchange controls to generate a profit in their first full year of operation. Because of Jim’s background in a variety of settings, he understands the challenges that small businesses face, like finding and holding on to top talent, dealing with business cycles, and competing with brand name competition.
